It's not my fault I'm late... I blame TV!

I don’t like watching the television. I watch two to four hours a week, maybe six if there is a major sporting event on. One hour is dedicated to “Psych” on Wednesday nights, another to “Man vs. Wild.” The other two or three hours are reserved for Saturdays, football, and Sundays, final round coverage of the week’s PGA golf tournament. Watching television makes me forget about schoolwork. As you can see, I am a day late in posting this blog entry and I blame Kim Clijsters and the Arkansas football team. Instead of writing my blog entry, I spent Saturday night watching the women’s U.S. Open final and Ryan Mallet and the Hogs tear apart Louisiana-Monroe.
I believe that television is the delivery system for products. Commercial time rivals show time on most stations. Take for instance the Super Bowl. Super Bowl commercials are the best. We talk about the commercials more than the game itself!
People who love television are not bad people, but there are better ways to spend precious time. Maybe next time before you sit down on the couch you should consider an alternative use of time. Go for a run? Get ahead on schoolwork? Do some extra studying? We spend way too much time in front screens, try something else for a change.
